The M2 Processor developed by Brompton is integral to the operation of large LED video screens. It is capable of accepting a variety of inputs and features four output ports, each supporting up to a maximum of 500,000 pixels. However, the actual number of pixels that can be driven per port is contingent upon several factors, including frame rate, color depth, and the pixel count of each connected tile.

The selection of LED tiles used in the setup—currently, CT utilizes the Roe MC7HB, Black OnyX 3.47, Black OnyX 2.8, and Carbon 4 LED tiles equipped with Brompton Receiver Cards—plays a significant role in determining connectivity. By specifying the desired frame rate and color depth, users can ascertain the number of tiles that can be effectively connected to each port as well as the total number connected to the processor.

This application has recently been updated for compatibility with the SX40 Processor. It was designed for technicians and project managers to facilitate the planning process by allowing them to estimate the required number of M2 Processors necessary for a given show configuration based on frame rate and color depth.
